How to play 4096 Flap

Your bird flies on its own and walls keep coming at it, each with three doorways. Tap to flap and the bird jumps up; let go and it falls. Fly through a doorway and its number lands in your nest of five slots at the top. When the number lands on its twin the two merge into their double, so a 16 on a 16 makes 32, and if that double meets its own twin they merge too, two at a time. A doorway with no number lets you through for free. If the nest has no twin and no empty slot, the number spills and you lose a heart; you also lose a heart when you hit a wall, a shut doorway or the ground. You have three hearts, every fifth merge gives one back, and the game ends when the last one is gone. The walls come faster as your numbers grow. Build a 4096 to win.

Tap or click the field, or press Space, ↑ or W, to flap. P pauses, and the game pauses itself when you leave the page. U rewinds about 3 seconds, 3 times per game. A doorway whose number has a twin in your nest glows gold, and one that would spill has a red rim. Your game and best score stay in this browser.
