How to play 4096 Lander

Your lander carries a number and drops from the top of the field toward four landing pads, each with a stack of numbered blocks. Fire the engine to slow its fall and steer it over a pad, then touch down softly on top of the stack. If the top block is its twin, the two merge into their double, so a 16 landed on a 16 makes 32, and if that block now sits on its own twin they merge too, two at a time. Any other number stays on top of the stack. A stack holds seven numbers. Touching down too fast, off the middle of a pad, on the side of a stack or on a full stack wrecks the lander and loses its number. You have five landers, and the game ends when all five are wrecked. Each lander has a few seconds of fuel, and gravity grows and the wind picks up as your numbers grow. Build a 4096 to win.

Hold the field above your lander to fire the engine and to the left or right of it to steer, or use ↑ or Space for the engine and ← and → to steer. P pauses, and the game pauses itself when you leave the page. U rewinds about 3 seconds, 3 times per game. The next number is shown at the top, the twins of your number glow gold, the lander turns red when it is too fast to land, and the bars show your fuel and the landers you have left.
