Pick an arrow round the board to aim your tile, then pick it again to shoot (with a mouse, point and click). The tile flies straight in until it meets a wall or another tile. A mirror on an empty square turns it a quarter turn, the way a mirror bounces light. The mirrors stay put all game; a tile resting on one hides it. Fly into its twin and the two merge into their double: 8 and 8 make 16. Wherever your tile ends up, it then takes in a twin it touches, one at a time: 16 and 16 make 32, then 32 and 32 make 64. Up, down, left and right count; diagonals don’t. An arrow is shut while the square in front of it holds a tile that isn’t your tile’s twin. When every arrow is shut, the game ends. Build a 4096 to win.

When your best tile reaches 256, the 2s retire and new tiles start at 4. Each doubling after that retires the next number. The bar above the board shows the tile you shoot now and the one after it; an aimed shot draws its path, lights the mirrors it bounces off and shows what it will make. With a keyboard: Tab to the arrows, arrow keys move round the board, Space or Enter shoots. U undoes a shot, 3 per game.
